Ljubljana, 1. 2. 2017 – Because Ljubljana coffee in recents year is not limited anymore to just espresso, it was bound to happen: welcome to 1st STOW coffee festival in the city. It takes place between the first and fourth of February at the Gospodarsko razstavišče (Ljubljana Convention centre) within GAST Expo Fairs of Tastes, and finishes Sunday February 5th in STOW specialty coffee shop in City museum with a barista brunch and Latte Art throwdown. See you there, no?

The festival promises new foundations to coffee drinking culture in Slovenia, and if you’re not already familiar with expressions like chemex, coldbrew, aeropress and such, this definitely is the place to be. The team behind the festival promises you will learn about the exceptional coffee farms and taste rare, exotic, innovative and experimental processed coffee varieties and more. There will also be lectures of Slovenian and international coffee experts, and at their Espresso bar hub you’ll be able to familiarize yourself with coffee machines La marzocco Strada AV and La marzocco linea Mini, taste coffees of Stow coffee roasters, other Slovenian and foreign micro roasters, attend latte art workshops and observe Multidisciplinary barista tournament Barista Battle Challenge 2017. At two brew bars you can also attend workshops on manual preparation of coffee on V60, Chemex, Syphone, Aeropress, Ibrik and Ice Drip. You will also get the chance to meet GINA, a recent smart coffee making Kickstarter success story from Slovenia. And don’t forget to attend First Aeropress championship in Slovenia Friday February 3rd.
